Tender BBQ brisket sandwiches with rich smoky flavor, topped with coleslaw and dill pickles, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs brisket (well-marbled)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 soft sandwich rolls or brioche buns
  • 1 cup coleslaw
  • ½ cup dill pickles
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Rub brisket with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices.
  3. Place the brisket in a roasting pan, cover tightly with foil, and roast for approximately 6 hours until tender.
  4. In a bowl, mix the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and barbecue sauce to create the sauce.
  5. Let the brisket rest for 20 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. Assemble each sandwich by piling brisket slices on rolls, drizzling with sauce, and adding coleslaw and pickles.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a healthier option, use low-sugar barbecue sauce and whole-grain rolls. The brisket can be made a day in advance and reheated gently.
