Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

For Garnish

  • to taste Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
  • as needed Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the salmon fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the unsalted butter, minced garlic, and honey over medium heat and stir until bubbly and fragrant.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice and return the seared salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them, and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the salmon hot, drizzled with the remaining honey butter sauce, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking. Consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce or using maple syrup instead of honey for variation.
