Ingredients
  

Crust Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs for that buttery base.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted adding richness and a hint of nuttiness.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar a sweet touch for the crust.

Fudge Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips providing a lush, melting chocolate layer.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz) bringing creaminess and sweetness into play.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for a delightful aromatic note.

Apple Topping Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced fresh and juicy, adding a vibrant fruity element.
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce plus extra for drizzling, indulgent and sticky.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon introducing warmth and spice.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) for a delightful crunch.
  • to taste amount whipped cream (optional) an airy topping that brings everything together.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar, then press this mixture into the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool.

Fudge Preparation

  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir slowly until melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Assembly

  • Pour the fudge mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the diced apples with caramel sauce and cinnamon until well coated.
  • Spoon the apple mixture over the fudge layer and sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.

Cooling

  • Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours or until set.

Serving

  • Cut into squares and drizzle with extra caramel sauce and add whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Cool the graham cracker crust fully before adding the fudge. If chocolate layer is overcooked it can become grainy. For lighter alternatives, consider using low-fat condensed milk or coconut cream.
