Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs Provides a crispy texture.

For the cheesecake filling

  • 1 cup 1 cup granulated sugar Balances cream cheese tanginess.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds depth of flavor.
  • 3 large 3 large eggs Provides structure and richness.
  • 0.25 cups 1/4 cup sour cream Enhances richness.
  • 0.5 cups 1/2 cup caramel sauce Drizzled over the top for sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the brownie batter according to package instructions or your homemade recipe. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and set aside.

Making the Cheesecake

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in the sour cream until fully combined.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter over the brownie layer, spreading evenly.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer and swirl gently with a knife.

Baking

  • Bake the cheesecake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  • Allow to cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  • Cool to room temperature before transferring to the fridge. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serving

  • Before serving, drizzle extra caramel sauce over the top.

Notes

Consider adding chocolate chips to the brownie layer for extra flavor. Use homemade caramel for enhanced taste, and ensure cream cheese is completely softened to avoid lumps.
