  • 1/4 cup water For cake mix preparation.

  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam For layering between cake layers.
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries For layering and garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar For dusting on top before serving.

For the Ganache

  • 1 cup heavy cream To create the ganache.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Main component for the ganache.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter To enrich the ganache.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor of the ganache.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
  • Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Ganache Preparation

  • In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until simmering, then pour over the chocolate chips in a bowl.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth and incorporate the butter and vanilla extract.
  • Let the ganache cool at room temperature to thicken.

Assembly

  • Spread a thin layer of raspberry jam on the top of the first cake layer.
  • Sprinkle fresh raspberries over the jam.
  • Carefully place the second layer of cake on top and pour the cooled ganache over the top, allowing it to cascade down the sides.
  • Garnish with additional raspberries and a dusting of powdered sugar.
  • Let the ganache set for 10 minutes before serving.
