Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour your mini cake pans.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter and sugar until creamy and light.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with whole milk, until a luscious batter forms.

Baking

  • Divide the batter evenly into the prepared mini cake pans.
  • Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow them to cool fully in the pans.

Ganache Preparation

  • Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  • Pour the hot cream over the dark chocolate chips and stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Drizzle the ganache over the cooled cakes.

Notes

For variations, substitute half the flour with almond flour or whole wheat flour. Use coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
