Meatball mixture

  • 1 lb ground turkey Lean and packed with flavor.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Plain or Italian varieties for extra flavor.
  • 1 large egg Binding agent for the meatballs.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for flavor depth.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley Chopped for freshness.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds nutty creaminess.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

Cooking

  • 2 cups marinara sauce Flavorful base for serving.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For searing the meatballs.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs until browned all over, about 8 minutes.
  • Transfer the meatballs to the lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Warm the marinara sauce in a separate saucepan. Toss the cooked meatballs in the marinara sauce just before serving.

Notes

Ensure you don't overbake the meatballs; they should remain juicy. Mix just until combined for tender meatballs. Keep your hands wet while shaping to avoid sticking.
