  • 1 medium Lemon (juiced and zested) Adding that beautiful zing.
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder Lending a savory depth.
  • 3/4 tsp Sea salt Enhancing all the flavors.
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper For a subtle kick.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped) A vibrant garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and arrange them in a single layer in a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the lemon juice and zest.
  • Brush the lemon butter generously over the cod fillets.
  • Season with garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper, flipping the fillets to repeat seasoning on the other side.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top before serving.

Notes

To ensure perfect results, choose fresh cod and pat the fillets dry before seasoning.
