Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  • In another bowl, blend the cottage cheese, egg yolks, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold the yolk mixture into the egg whites, preserving airiness.
  • Drop the fluffy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in rounds about 2-3 inches wide.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.

Notes

Ensure egg whites are free from yolk for proper whipping. Avoid over-beating the egg whites to maintain fluffiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
