  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese Creamy and melty
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Adds a pop of color and freshness

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the beef stew meat. Allow it to brown on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced onion and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized and golden-brown.
  • Add the minced garlic to the onions and cook for an additional minute.

Cooking

  • Return the browned beef to the skillet, and pour in the beef broth, followed by Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for around 30 minutes.
  • While the beef is simmering, prepare the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • Once the beef is tender, stir in the egg noodles and top with shredded Swiss cheese, then cover to let the cheese melt.

Serving

  • Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, serve the dish hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Select good quality beef stew meat for tenderness. Don't rush the caramelization of the onions for better flavor. Add cheese off heat for perfect melting.
