Fruit Loop Fizz
A delightful twist on a classic cocktail bursting with fruity flavors and vibrant colors, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
For the cocktail
- 2 oz white rum
- 1 oz coconut cream
- 1 oz heavy cream
- 4 oz fresh pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- gel food coloring (various colors) For vibrant coloring
- 1/2 cup milk For cereal milk foam
- 1/4 cup heavy cream For cereal milk foam
- Fruit Loops cereal For garnish
Instructions
Preparation
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of white rum, 1 oz of coconut cream, 1 oz of heavy cream, and 4 oz of fresh pineapple juice. Add 1/2 cup of crushed ice to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to mix the ingredients well.
- Next, add a few drops of gel food coloring to the shaker. Feel free to use multiple colors to achieve the rainbow effect. Shake again until the colors are well-blended and vibrant.
- Prepare the cereal milk foam by heating 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of heavy cream in a small saucepan over low heat until warm.
- Add a handful of Fruit Loops cereal to the warm milk mixture and allow it to steep for 2-3 minutes. Then, strain out the cereal, leaving a deliciously flavored milk.
- Using a hand mixer or frother, foam the cereal milk until light and airy.
- Pour the colorful cocktail into a glass, making sure to leave some space at the top.
- Carefully spoon the cereal milk foam on top of the drink to create a frothy layer.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of more Fruit Loops cereal on top for an additional fun touch.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, omit the white rum and replace with extra pineapple juice or sparkling water. Taste your drink before serving and adjust sweetness with more coconut cream or simple syrup if desired.
