Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 lbs skirt steak Known for its juicy, rich flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste Enhances the natural taste of the steak
  • 6 tsp garlic, minced Infuses the dish with aromatic goodness
  • 6 tbsp butter Adds richness and a silky texture
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley For a fresh and vibrant finish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Trim the skirt steak to fit your skillet. Pat it dry with paper towels to ensure a perfect sear.
  • Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Cooking the Steak

  • In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium-high heat until it’s very hot.
  • Add the seasoned skirt steak to the skillet. Allow it to brown undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Once browned, transfer the steak to a plate and let it rest.

Making the Garlic Butter

  • In a separate skillet, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir continuously until it transforms into a golden brown delight.

Serving

  • After resting, slice the skirt steak against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
  • Drizzle the warm garlic butter over the steak slices, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Always let your meat rest after cooking to ensure moistness. Consider adding red pepper flakes for extra spice or a squeeze of fresh lemon for brightness. Cook the steak in batches if your skillet isn't large enough and watch the garlic closely to avoid burning.
