  • 1 medium onion Finely chopped.

  • 1 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper For seasoning.
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter For frying.

Preparation

  • Peel and grate the potatoes using a box grater or food processor.
  • With a clean kitchen towel, squeeze out excess moisture from the grated potatoes.
  • In a bowl, add the grated potatoes to finely chopped onions, eggs, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.

Cooking

  • Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Scoop two tablespoons of the mixture into the skillet, flattening them slightly.
  • Fry each side for about 3-4 minutes until they are golden brown and crunchy.
  • Drain any excess oil on paper towels, then serve immediately.
