Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper and a wire rack.
  • In a large bowl, combine cleaned chicken pieces with hot honey and 1 tsp each of salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, thyme, parsley, and basil. Mix well and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • Pat dry the marinated chicken pieces and coat each piece in all-purpose flour, shaking off excess.

Coating

  • In a separate bowl, combine crushed cornflakes, breadcrumbs, and 1 tsp each of spices.
  • Whisk together eggs and almond milk. Dip each flour-coated chicken piece into the egg mixture, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Arrange coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking and Sauce Preparation

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy.
  • While baking, melt unsalted butter in a skillet, adding the remaining sauce ingredients and stir until smooth.

Serving

  • Once chicken is done, drizzle the spicy-sweet sauce generously over each piece and serve immediately.
