Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, sauté the ground beef, sliced onion, and bell pepper over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the vegetables are soft.
  • Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and cream cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste, and continue to stir until the cheese fully melts.

Forming the roll-ups

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and create eight even circles with the shredded Monterey Jack cheese, spacing them out evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove the cheese circles from the oven and let them cool slightly to allow them to firm up.
  • Place a spoonful of the savory filling in the center of each cheese circle and carefully roll them up like sushi.
  • Let the roll-ups harden for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños. Use different types of cheese to alter the flavor profile. Serve with low-carb vegetable sticks or a fresh salad.
