Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a large skillet over high heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and tomato paste, letting the ingredients meld together.
  • Spread the meat mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish.

Assembly

  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream, then stir in half of the shredded cheese.
  • Pour the creamy mixture over the meat mixture and spread it evenly.
  • Top with remaining cheese and optional sliced jalapenos.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-17 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
