Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and whisk together.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding until just combined.
  • Fold in the M&M candies and chocolate chips.
  • Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the bars are golden brown and soft to the touch.
  • Allow cooling in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes
