Ingredients

For the sorbet base

  • 1.5 cups fresh lemon juice Bright and zesty
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Sweet and crystalline
  • 1 cup water The base of our refreshing syrup
  • 0.5 cup cranberry juice For that lovely pink color and a hint of sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest Adding an extra punch of lemon flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For a touch of warmth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream Optional for a creamy alternative

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine the water and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally, allowing the sugar to dissolve completely and create a simple syrup.
  • Once dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice, cranberry juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract to the cooled syrup. Stir well.
  • If desired, mix in the heavy cream for a creamier sorbet.

Freezing

  • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or a freezer-safe container.
  • Place the dish in the freezer and stir the mixture vigorously every 30 minutes for 3-4 hours until it’s frozen to perfection.

Serving

  • Serve immediately or scoop into an airtight container and store in the freezer.
  • Garnish with extra lemon zest or a sprig of fresh mint if desired.

Notes

For the best flavor, use the freshest lemons available. You can substitute honey or agave syrup for a healthier option, and try using different fruit juices for variations.
