Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs These will form a crunchy, aromatic base.
  • 0.25 cups sugar Adds a touch of sweetness to the crust.

For the cheesecake filling

  • 3 cups cream cheese, softened Provides a rich, creamy texture.
  • 1 cups sour cream Brings a tangy flavor.
  • 1 cups granulated sugar To sweeten the cheesecake filling.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Adds aroma and depth.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder Adds a hint of chocolate flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring Responsible for the vibrant color.
  • 4 large eggs Binds all the ingredients.
  • 0.5 cups all-purpose flour Helps set the cheesecake's structure.

For the strawberry topping

  • 1 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Juicy and vibrant topping.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Enhances the sweetness of the strawberries.
  • 0.25 cups heavy whipping cream For the fluffy whipped topping.
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Sweetens the whipped cream.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sour cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour and continue mixing until smooth.
  • Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust and bake for 55-60 minutes.

Cooling and Topping

  • Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  • Mix the sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form.
  • Top the cheesecake with whipped cream and spoon the strawberry mixture over the top.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

For richer flavor, add a splash of almond extract. Incorporate crushed nuts for texture. Let cheesecake chill overnight for best results.
