Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, a bowl of warm water, and some towels to work with.
  • Soak each rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 10-15 seconds, or until pliable but firm.
  • In a bowl, combine crab meat, softened cream cheese, finely chopped green onions, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper, fold the sides over, and roll tightly.
  • Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the rangoons for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve warm with sweet chili sauce.
