Dough and Filling

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8 count) Tender and flaky
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage Mild or spicy
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp and flavorful
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Adds aromatic warmth
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder Adds depth of flavor
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, mixing until smooth.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll the dough from the wide end, tucking the filling inside. Place each crescent on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and the filling is hot.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Avoid overfilling the crescents to prevent bursts. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
