Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Add the unsalted butter to a medium bowl, or melt in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • Finely mince the garlic and shallots.
  • Stir minced garlic and shallots into the melted butter.
  • Incorporate Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce into the butter mixture.
  • Finely chop parsley, thyme, and chives, and add to the mixture.
  • Sprinkle in smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  • Whisk all ingredients together until fully combined.

Serving

  • Pour the sauce into ramekins or serve directly over steak.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh herbs. Letting the sauce sit allows flavors to meld. Adjust spice levels to taste.
