For the icing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Generously grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, instant pudding mix, eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the diced strawberries and 1/4 cup of sugar.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.

Icing

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • If too thick, add a bit more heavy cream to reach desired consistency.
  • Once the cake is completely cooled, spread the icing evenly across the top.
