Instructions
 

Cooking the Rice

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine rice, chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for about 18-20 minutes until cooked. Fluff with a fork.

Preparing the Beef

  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add thinly sliced sirloin steak. Sear for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through.

Adding the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, honey, and grated ginger.
  • Pour over the cooked beef, stirring to coat evenly. Let simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Assembling the Rice Stack

  • On a plate or bowl, add a portion of cooked rice at the bottom.
  • Layer with teriyaki beef and top with slices of avocado.
  • Repeat stacking for each serving.
