Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 2 pieces salmon fillets, succulent and fresh
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce, rich and flavorful Reserve half for drizzling later

For the Rice

  • 1 cup cooked white or brown rice, fluffy and warm

For the Avocado

  • 1 piece ripe avocado, sliced to creamy perfection Gently sear for added flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for a touch of richness For searing the avocado

Seasoning and Garnish

  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for a nutty garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped for brightness
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice, optional for an extra zing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, and drizzle half of the teriyaki sauce over the top.

Baking

  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes until it easily flakes apart with a fork.
  • While the salmon is baking, cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.

Searing Avocado

  • Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
  • Sear the avocado slices for 1-2 minutes on each side until they take on a light golden hue.

Assembly

  • Once the salmon is done, gently break it into large flakes and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce over the top.
  • To assemble, start with a layer of cooked rice, then add the teriyaki salmon, followed by seared avocado slices.
  • Repeat the layering process, finishing with sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.

Notes

Marinating the salmon for at least 30 minutes before baking enhances the flavors. Customize layers or garnishes to suit your taste. Leftovers can be stored separately in the fridge for quick meals.
